More Consolation

When he found out I didn’t get accepted to Wharton, N. sent me a link to an article about how MBAs are overrated now, anyway.
So I wrote back to him and said, “But you don’t really think that, do you? You don’t regret your MBA, do you?”
He wrote back and said, “Of course not. I was only trying to make you feel better.”
The chuckle I got from that made me feel better than the article.
Also, when I told my nephew about not getting into school he said, “I think they must have taken the dumber people because they need to get more knowledge.” Not at all true, but amusing nonetheless.
it’s amazing how truthful kids can be
Maybe I am being out of line here, but I was wondering what is more important, getting the MBA or where you are getting it from? Or is it that only a few schools offer the exact kind of curriculum you want? Seems to me prestige of a school might open some doors, but it is talent that will push your career where it will ultimately go.
