Customer Service Tip of the Day

May 22, 2009

I go out for ice cream a lot.  Some people drink, some people smoke.  I eat ice cream, apparently.

Last weekend I took all my friends to my favorite neighborhood ice cream shop, and I told the girl behind the counter that I should be getting a commission or something for all the business I’m bringing them.  She said, “I know!  Every time you come in here you’re with someone different!”

Here is something I will never understand.  Why, when you order an ice cream cone, do the servers insist on giving you your ice cream before taking your money?  It would be so much easier to pay first, deal with change, and put the wallet away without trying to hold an ice cream cone in one hand.  Like many things in life, it seems like such a simple idea, and yet it remains elusive.

Ben & Bills, CJ’s, or MDI IceCream? I like Ben & Bills for the staff and and MDI for the quality. CJ’s does not impress me that much.

MDI Ice Cream. It’s pretty much the only place I ever go. I love the cinnamon, salted caramel, and recently the Mexican chocolate.
